Version 1.0 · Effective 31 August 2026
Terms & Conditions
These terms are the agreement between you and the company that operates Mira. Please read them — creating an account means you accept them.
The short version
Your answers are used to match you. They are never shown on your profile and never sold.
Your verification video is deleted 30 days after review.
Delete your account and everything goes within 30 days.
This summary is not a substitute for what follows. Where they differ, the text below applies.
1. Who we are
Mira is operated by The Umbrella Company (“Umbrella”, “we”, “us”), a company established in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, registered office at [Registered address], commercial registration number [CR number]. You can reach us at info@theumbrellaai.com.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the agreement between you and Umbrella for your use of the Mira mobile application and this website.
2. Who can use Mira
To create an account you must be:
- 18 years of age or older;
- legally free to marry;
- using a single account that belongs to you, in your own name; and
- not someone we have previously removed from Mira.
Mira exists for people who intend to marry. It is not a casual dating service, and we remove accounts that use it as one. If you are married and not free to marry again under the law that applies to you, you may not use Mira.
3. Verification
Every account is verified with a short video before it becomes visible to anyone else. We review it to confirm you are a real person, then delete it 30 days after review. We may decline to verify an account, or withdraw verification, where we are not satisfied — and we do not have to explain the reasoning, because explaining it teaches people how to defeat it.
4. Your account
Your account is tied to your phone number, and optionally to an Apple or Google account you link. Keep control of both. Do not share your account, sell it, or let anyone else use it. Tell us at once if you lose access or believe someone else has it.
5. House rules
Be yourself. Stay safe. Treat other people as you would want to be treated. Report bad behaviour — it is what keeps everyone else safe. Specifically, you must not:
- misrepresent who you are, including your age, marital history or photographs;
- ask any user for money, gifts, loans or financial help, for any reason;
- advertise, recruit, solicit or promote anything;
- send sexual, threatening, hateful, abusive or harassing messages or images;
- contact, or attempt to contact, anyone under 18;
- capture, record, save or republish another person’s messages, photographs or video from Mira anywhere else, including by defeating the in-app screenshot block or by photographing the screen with another device;
- scrape, automate, decompile or reverse-engineer any part of Mira, or use it through anything other than the official app; or
- use Mira on behalf of someone else.
6. How matching works — and what it is not
Your answers to the questionnaire are encoded and compared with other people’s across twelve dimensions. The first ten items act as eligibility rather than score: where you mark a requirement as firm, we stop introducing you to people who answered the other way. The resulting compatibility score is symmetric — it is computed from both people’s answers, and neither of you is shown a different number.
That score is a model’s estimate drawn from self-reported answers. It is not advice, not a promise, and not a judgement about any person. We do not guarantee that you will be introduced to anyone, that anyone will accept, or that any introduction will lead to a relationship or a marriage. No human reads your answers, and no account is promoted, boosted or placed in front of you in exchange for payment.
7. Introductions, conversations and locking
- You receive one introduction a week at the free pace, and may hold two open conversations at a time.
- Every request you send is answered either way. While one is open you may send one more; beyond that you wait for an answer.
- Locking onto someone closes every other conversation you have and pauses new introductions. The other person is told, and asked to lock in return — the lock only holds if she does.
- Either of you can unlock at any time. Conversations that closed because of a lock do not reopen.
- We may close a conversation where an account in it is suspended, removed or deleted.
8. Photographs and view-once media
Photographs are locked by default. They open only when both people in a conversation ask for them; one person asking alone changes nothing. Media sent as “view once” may be opened a single time and is then deleted, and is deleted unopened once it expires.
Screenshots and screen recording are blocked inside the app on both platforms. You must not attempt to defeat that block, and you must not capture another person’s images or messages by any other means. Doing so is grounds for immediate removal, and may be an offence.
9. Guardian access
Guardian access is optional and off unless you turn it on. When it is on, a guardian may read your conversations and may never write in them, and both people in the conversation are told that a guardian can see it. It is never silent. You are responsible for choosing who you grant it to.
10. Mira Plus and payments
- Mira is free to use at the free pace. Mira Plus is an auto-renewing subscription that adds a second introduction a week, shows compatibility before you request, and lets you reopen one closed conversation a month.
- Purchases are made through, and billed by, Apple. The price, currency and any tax are shown in the app before you confirm.
- A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage and cancel it in your App Store subscription settings — not in Mira, and not by deleting your account.
- A streak restore is a one-off purchase, not part of the subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. We cannot issue them.
- We may change prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.
11. What you send
You keep ownership of everything you write, answer and send. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, transmit and display that content for the sole purpose of operating Mira for you and the people you are talking to. It ends when the content is deleted. We do not use your messages or your answers for advertising, and we do not sell them to anyone.
12. Reports, suspension and removal
A person reviews every report, usually within a few hours. The person reported is not told who reported them. We may suspend or remove an account, remove content, or end a conversation where we believe these terms have been broken or where someone may be at risk — and we may act first and review after where the risk is serious. If you believe we have got it wrong, write to info@theumbrellaai.com and a person will look at it again.
13. Ending your account
- You may delete your account at any time: Profile → Support → Delete my account.
- Your account closes immediately and everything is erased within 30 days.
- Open conversations close, and the people in them are told the conversation ended — not why. If you are locked with someone, they are told the lock ended.
- Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account, and does not cancel a subscription.
- We may end your account by giving you notice, or immediately where you have broken these terms.
14. Meeting people is your decision
Mira introduces people. It does not vouch for them. Verification confirms that an account belongs to a real person; it is not a background check, and we do not check criminal records, marital status or anything a person tells you. Meet in a public place, tell someone you trust where you are going, and never send money to someone you have met here.
15. Availability
Mira is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in any particular place, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features. Where a change is material, we will tell you in the app.
16. Liability
To the fullest extent the law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia allows: we are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether inside Mira or in person; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
17. Changes to these terms
We will tell you in the app before a material change takes effect, and we will change the version and date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Mira after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not, delete your account.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of Mira, are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Kingdom. Nothing here removes a right you have under Saudi consumer or personal data protection law.
19. Apple
This agreement is between you and Umbrella, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Mira or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Mira. If Mira fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to Mira, including product liability, regulatory or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
